The nasal strips don't work because snoring doesn't often doesn't come from the nasal passage - it comes from the throat.
That's why it's better to use a Slumber Guard.

Drink a cup of milk before going to bed. Many people feast on dairy products like cheese or drink a glass of milk just before sleeping. As a result, mucus production is higher in those people suffering from intolerance. Eliminating dairy can deal with your snoring problem. You will have to make up for vitamins and nutrients that you would have otherwise obtained from dairy. Also remember that eliminating dairy from your diet will not immediately reduce your snoring. It may require about a month to observe any effects.

Is he on his back when he snores? if so, try nudging him so he rolls onto his side, it might help. Something else to consider is sleep apnea. One of the symptoms is heavy snoring. My husband has severe apnea, so I am very familiar with it. Sleep apnea is where you actually stop breathing while you are sleeping (yes even though they are snoring). Does he complain of being tired, or fall asleep easily at the drop of a hat? If he does and he snores badly, I would have him checked for apnea. If checked, and he does have apnea, there are a lot of options, depending on the severity of the apnea. But it can be taken care of. If he has it and he is not checked, it can be very serious. I don't want to scare you, but severe apnea, untreated can lead to heart attack and stroke. So have him go to a pulmonary doctor who specializes in sleep disorders. They'll more than likely set him up for an overnight stay in a sleep center where they have him go to sleep and they moniter his breathing and vitals while he sleeps. For him, it's a lot of being woken up, told to go back to sleep and being hooked up to a lot of machines. But nothing that's bad. For you? It'd be peace of mind to know that a good set of ear plugs and a few good nudges during the night will take care of the problem, or have a treatment plan worked out with the doctor. It may take some cajolling to get him to go see the doctor, but trust me, it's worth it. You'd be surprised how many marriages have broken up because of sleep issues. Why not get this worked out before the big day? Good luck!
