Don’t know whether this is relevant for you, but…
My husband (and his dad, according to my m-i-l) snore 10x worse when they have been drinking beer.

Go to an Eye, Ears and Nose specialist. Get them to diagnosis the problem and tell you which remedy they would recommend. They probably will send you for a sleep test first unless they see visual signs of problems with your septum that can be corrected by surgery. I had septum deviation which was corrected by a surgeon and I haven’t snored since. Whether you are diagnosed with something like sleep apnea then they will place you on a C-pap machine which will right the problem. The main thing is to start with a doctor who can find and diagnosis the source of the problem.

Sleep on your own…… it’s no fun listening to someone snoring their head off, failing that, sleep during the day. :+)

yeah, it depends on the severity of it. You should be able to get tried and maybe propose a cpap machine. A cpap machine calms the snoring and assist you to sleep better and feel rested because I am certain you are tired at some point.

I would not use really puffy pillows that near your throat when lying on your back. It often helps to get checked for sleep disorders, and have a sleep study done. See your docotor, as loss of sleep can be terrible for both of you and can result in memory loss and other psychological problems.

DO NOT insert tampons up your nose. A guy died by doing that.
Attempt drinking less beer (I know, I’d rather snore as well)

Have you tried those modern Breathe-Right Strips? They adhere on your nose and hold it open for hours. For some people they really remedy snoring.
Whether you only snore when on your back, you can sew a pocket into your PJs right between your shoulder blades. Then keep a tennis ball in the pocket while you sleep. Keeps you from sleeping on your back.
Final remedy is to see a surgeon. He can do some minor plastic surgery to reshape the interior of your throat.

it works really well, whether you lie on your side instead of your back, this way your airways are cleared. one way i heard of ensuring that you lie on your side is to sew somethig like a marbel in to the back of your pjs so that whether you roll over then you will fell uncomfortable and roll onto your side.

Conversation to your Common Practitioner approximately visiting a sleep clinic. It could be a result of a serious underlining illness/condition. Maybe your tonsils are too enormous, as it was in my case. It’s impossible to even attempt to diagnose on-line. Conversation to your doc.. ~excellent luck honey!

chicata2 | December 2, 2009 at 8:44 am
Yes indeed.
Going to a sleep specialist and their clinic
getting evaled for sleep apnea
using breath right strips temporarily.

I used to snore terribly, then I got diagnosed with sleep apnoea, and now I have to wear a mask that blows air inro your body while you sleep. Common rules say you may have sleep apnoea whether
1 you are overweight
2 you are middle aged
3 you snore loudly
4 you halt breathing in your sleep
5 you could drop aslep at any time of the day
Whether any of these fit you, go to your doctor
